Maine native beats P. Diddy in Vegas nightclub dance-off

Twenty-nine year old Maine native Will McCandless got the thrill of a lifetime this past weekend at the Omnia Nightclub in Las Vegas when world famous hip-hop and entertainment mogul P. Diddy challenged him to a dance off on stage.

P. Diddy1McCandless, a 2003 graduate of Cheverus High School in Portland who now lives in Los Angeles, was visiting Vegas for a bachelor party with over a dozen friends from Maine.

“We were having such a good time at the club,” said McCandless on Tuesday, “when P. Diddy hopped up on the stage I didn’t think it could get any better.”

That was when Diddy noticed McCandless dancing near the stage and challenged him to a dance off.

“I couldn’t believe when he called me up onstage. We were dancing on the DJ’s table, so I was really trying not to fall off,” McCandless laughed.

At the end Diddy can be heard conceding defeat to McCandless, saying “you’re doing things that I would never do.”
