Image of Loch Ness Monster in Portland making waves online

After record breaking rainfall drenched most of the state yesterday, images of the flooding have been widely shared on social media.

As Mainers recover from the intense soaking, and others warn of more impending storms, a doctored image of the Loch Ness Monster swimming in downtown Portland is quickly reaching viral status.

Jamie White of Lewiston took the original photo, and Peau Khan of Portland added Nessie to the image. White’s original photo has been picked up by several media outlets, and Khan’s has been shared widely on social media.
