Justin Alfond endorses Ben Chipman for State Senate

Citing “The actions by Rep. Russell and her campaign” and his belief that “Portland deserves a Senator who bring out the best of our city,” State Senator Justin Alfond endorsed State Rep. Ben Chipman today for the District 27 seat that he will vacate next year.

Chipman and Russell- along with Dr. Chuck Radis- are in a hotly contested primary race for the Democratic nomination for the seat. The primary vote is tomorrow, and it’s widely accepted that since Portland is such a liberal stronghold, whoever gets the Democratic party nomination will ultimately win the overall race in November.
